How to import M3U8 playlists back into Rekordbox
After Energy Set Builder generates your playlists, the last step is bringing that output back into Rekordbox without breaking your working library. The process is simple when you keep the playlist files organized.
1. Download the generated playlist file.Use the per-set download button or the bulk download action inside Energy Set Builder.
2. Keep the playlist file in an easy-to-find location.Do not move your source tracks. You only need the playlist file to point Rekordbox back to the tracks already in your library.
3. Open Rekordbox and choose the playlist import flow.Use the Rekordbox import option for playlists and select the generated M3U8 file.
4. Verify the imported playlist.Check track count, opening energy, peak area, closing shape, and a few harmonic transitions so you know the set came in the way you expected.
What to verify after import
- The playlist name matches the set you downloaded.
- The track count lines up with the generated output.
- The opening tracks, peak section, and closing tracks feel correctly grouped.
- The playlist is ready for your cue-point and memory workflow inside Rekordbox.
Why this matters
The value of the tool is not just generating a better order. It is generating an order that returns cleanly into the Rekordbox workflow you already trust for prep, tagging, cueing, and performance.
